About

I was introduced to the violin at the age of four in my hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, and have since devoted much of my life to the study and performance of classical music. My early training took place with Hungarian pedagogue Erno Kabok, including formal studies through the Royal Conservatory of Music, where I advanced to the ARCT level in Performance. I further studied privately at Langley Community Music School with esteemed teachers Lucia Schipperus and Laura Hough, and was an active competitor in the annual Vancouver Kiwanis music festival while also leading school orchestras throughout my formative years.

After taking a break from professional violin studies between 2016–2022 to pursue a Pre-Law degree, I returned to music with renewed passion and discipline. I have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and continuing studies towards a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at Palm Beach Atlantic University under the mentorship of Dr. Nicholas Tavani where I serve as the concertmaster of the university’s symphony orchestra. During this upcoming year, I will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Violin performance.

Throughout the years, I have held leadership positions in ensembles including the Langley Music School Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, I performed with the PRISMA Festival Orchestra as a member of the Violin I section, under the direction of maestro Arthur Arnold. I have performed extensively in recital at the collegiate level as well as a soloist with orchestra. Most recently I performed with the Palm Beach Symphony.

In addition to performing, I am committed to nurturing the next generation of violinists. I have been teaching violin since 2016. Most recently, I taught for three years in the Palm Beach Atlantic University Preparatory Department, where my students engaged in a comprehensive curriculum that included RCM practical exams, monthly studio classes, and bi-annual recitals. In my own private studio, my curriculum includes performance preparation for monthly recitals, as well as a methodical approach to technical and musical mastery. My approach to teaching is rooted in discipline, encouragement, and a deep understanding of the technical and musical foundations needed for long-term success. I am a current member of the Music Teacher’s National Association as well as the Florida State Music Teacher’s Association.

Whether you’re just beginning or preparing for advanced exams and auditions, I welcome students of all ages who are eager to learn, grow, and experience the joy of violin playing!
